Last year I was introduced to the best wig I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. Not only have I worn the life out of it, I’ve also likely bored you with photos of the same hairstyle since the start of the year (1, 2, 3 covers face!) What can I say, when I love, I love really hard!
Around early March I decided it was time for a new hairstyle and began to search for a new unit, however as fate had it the search was put on pause after being contacted by the pr rep of a brand called Nume, who wanted me to give one of their heat tools a try. I spent a couple of minutes on their website and was stuck for choice so I decided to go for the Lustrum curling set, (a five piece curling wand set) hoping at least one of the wands would be a perfect fit.
When I received the set and showed it to hubby (as I often do), his first comment was ‘don’t you have something like this already?‘, and my answer dear friends was yes I do, but this one is different!
Unlike my Corioliss Glamour Wand which has featured in a blog post or two, the Lustrum set comes with five interchangeable barrels, ranging from 19mm – 32mm. I used the largest barrel 32mm to achieve these glamorous curls, and gave the 19mm barrel a try yesterday, the spirals were to die for!
Another feature that made me choose this kit in particular was it’s cute pouch storage solution, it definitely spoke to my inner neat freak. Friends always comment on how minimalistic and clean our place is, I’m a boss when it comes to hidden storage so something compact will always win me over. Finally the wand kit also comes with a glove. This is a big deal! Burns from hot wands are the ex bane of my life (and I plan to keep things that way), these barrels heat up quite quickly so it’s great to have the extra protection.
Now I’m never one to push a product or tool on anyone, I believe a review will always speak for itself. What I will say is if you ever come close to buying a curling wand these really are amazing. They’ve plagued the likes of Youtube with positive reviews and at just $99 with discount code: ANYSET99 (expires June 30th 2016), the price point is very reasonable. Oh and they ship to the UK too!
